Posing by not posing

Posing by Not Posing Hard as it is to believe, portrait photography is considered to probably the hardest of the many specializations in the profession. That moment of positioning a subject in front of that plastic fake background to sit on an uncomfortable chair and make a smile they would never use in any other setting is legionary and not one that you look forward to. And you can tell the subjects, especially the men, are enjoying this about as much as they like going to the dentist. So how to take some of the teeth out of the process. For some portraits, you cannot get away from the formal “seating”. But even then, there are ways to relax the subject so the smile you get was one they really wanted to give you. The optimum portrait is one that is not a portrait. If you can get the subject talking about their favorite subject, interacting with someone they like or love and using their sense of humor, that sparkle in their expression and gleam in their eye is absolute portrait gold to you the photographer. Now, you cannot lie to the subject. So if you explain that you are going to be over here working on this stubborn camera, then just gently guide the conversation, they will begin to get used to hearing the shutter to off and seeing the flash but they may be able to not tense up. Some of the finest couple portraits I have captured happened when I got the couple having a loving chat or mild argument with some teasing and that natural flirtation came out. When you can snap that moment in time, you will have a photograph they will treasure for a lifetime. Obviously, the key to any photograph is to capture the personality and the “soul” of your subject. I was photographing a boy scout in his uniform for a very important photograph to the family because the boy had achieved the Eagle rank, which is a high honor. But I knew this kid had lots of personality so I wanted the “formal” shot but I wanted this kid’s heart in it too. So I told him I would be snapping a few shots to test my shutter and I got him talking about boy scouts and camping. As I got him to tell me about the funniest moments he experienced camping, that smile came out and boom, I had my shot. It hangs in my lobby now as one of my finest moments as a photographer. If you can get the couple to do the portrait at home, in a restaurant or at some familiar setting, you can get that kind of rapport going much easier. This requires that you, the photographer must be not only a skilled artisan with your camera but somewhat of a politician, a psychologist and a hypnotist all tied up in one. So polish up some good “charm” that you will use to ease those personality shots out of your subjects. And perfect that charm for different personalities. You may need to flirt the smile out of a young girl or tease it out of a child. You may need to get some “man to man” humor out of that burley construction worker or make an off the cuff crack about a politician to get Mr. Business Man to chuckle. And for the babies, well, they will almost smile for their mommy and almost certainly smile for daddy so use them to the hilt. By combining your skills as a photographer with a generous portion of people charm and grace, you will make memorable portraits that will be better than the uncomfortable, stiff looks that so many accept as ok. Your customers will be happier and you will enjoy a pride in your work that you well deserve. PPPPP 645

It's a fairly common practice, claiming compensation from the another driver’s insurance company in the event of a road traffic incident. Well thankfully, you may still be able to make a claim compensation from the UK Motor Insurers Bureau. Claims going through theUK Motor Insurers Bureau is similar to making a normal claim. If the driver was uninsured, the MIB can pay compensation for personal injury or death and/or damage to property. If the driver has not been traced, the MIB will consider claims for damage to personal property providing the vehicle can be identified. Farm kitchen sink

I grew up on a farm in the 40's, and one of the most pleasant things in our lives was sitting around the kitchen, which was the center of the household. Mom was an excellent cook, and I remember well the old farm kitchen sink, which was always a focal point. Currently there are three primary types of kitchen sinks: self-rimming, under mount, and farm. Self-rimming, or drop-in sinks, sit on top of the counter top. This is the least attractive sink option, and the least practical, as the countertops cannot be wiped off directly into the sink. The rim prevents this from happening smoothly. Food particles get stuck between the sink and the counter top and breed bacteria and mold, which can, in turn attract pests. Farm sinks are the most pleasing of all kitchen sinks. My mother had a one piece sink with high back that was a central part of the kitchen. She could do her canning, have room for supplies, and yet not need a great deal of counter space in the kitchen to hold other items. We had the sink, stove, and the kitchen table in our farm home. It was all we needed. Farm sinks are an entire sink unit which intentionally breaks the flow of the counter top as an appliance would. They have a finished front wall which leads directly up and over into the basin of the sink. Farm sinks are made of many materials. but the most attractive ones are made of granite, marble, or travertine. The rock travertine is a natural chemical precipitate of carbonate minerals; typically aragonite, but often recrystallized to or primary calcite; which is deposited from the water of mineral springs (especially hot springs) or streams saturated with calcium carbonate. When pure, travertine is white, but often is brown to yellow due to impurities. For the heavily-used kitchen, granite farm sinks are the most practical. Sinks are getting more attention today, not only as design elements, but as practical features. My wife loves anything shabby chic, and we have been looking for a farm kitchen sink for our loft. We live in a 110 year old livery stable, and it is my heart's desire. We are fortunate enough to have the original hardwood floors, with all the "medals of honor" of bygone years, and a great kitchen that suits my need as an experienced chef. There is the possibility that you don't have enough room for the sink that you want. In this case, a bump-out can be built. A bump-out is where the counter top and cabinet at the sink extend several inches away from the wall, out into the kitchen, to provide a bit more space for the sink. Bump-outs can be extremely attractive, especially to highlight a particularly beautiful sink. All things considered, a farm kitchen sink is a lovely addition to any kitchen. I am a firm believer that cooking must be an experience, and one to relish. things need to be right in the home kitchen, and what better way than with a farm kitchen sink?

Should relatives go into business together

There are many asking if relatives should go into business together and the answer is elusive for many reasons. Depending on how closely related they are and how close they are personally can have a direct effect on their ability to work together as equal partners in a business. Different people have different personalities and the person with the most dominant personality will end up being in charge, whether planned or not, which can cause friction when running a business together. If the relatives have known each other a long time and are well acquainted, they should already know who the stronger of two is, but in a business managing by intimidation is never a good performance standard. Before entering the business climate, they have to talk through the good and bad of being in business together, knowing that if they end up unable to work things out it will now only wreck a friendship, but can cause discord within the entire families with people taking sides in any dispute. However, they will still be related when it is over. Being in a business as a “family” may have worked for the so-called mob, but in that scenario there was a firmly entrenched order and violations of that order had very swift and severe consequences. Not the management flow chart that operate a successful business. If persons hoping to go into business together cannot agree on the basics of who will be in charge of what, then the answer is no, relatives should not go into business together, Family members with similar personalities often find themselves unemployed and view going into business together as a viable means to support their families. Understanding the strengths and weakness of both, they can use that to establish a management chart to determine who will be in charge of what aspect of running the business. They may also find there are portions of running the business with which they have no experience and may need another person to help fulfill those needs. By sitting down and outlining the needs of starting a business and what each person can bring to the business table, they will be better prepared to deal with any issues that arise with being related in operating the same business. There will be conflicts as there are in any business relationship, but the fact they are related should never enter any business-related discussion. Additionally, there must be the attitude of what happens at work stays at workplaining to the spouse or other family members can lead to inner-family arguments that probably are not worth fighting over in the first place. One of the biggest problems faced when relatives are in business together may be in scheduling. When there is a family function, both people will most likely want to attend and as owners of the business should not be a problem, but there may be times when the needs of the business require one to be available, the need to work out who will go and who will work may rock the relationship boat.

Mr. handyman

First thing Saturday morning I decided to fix the washing machine. This decision had not been reached lightly. The cold water pressure was weak so I had checked with two experts at work (i. e., they had both owned washing machines at one time or another) and determined that it was a sticky solenoid. I grabbed my toolbox and told my wife what I was planning. “It’ll be fixed in ten minutes,” I explain as I head down to the basement. Meanwhile, she is looking up the number of a ‘24 hour emergency plumbing service’ and entering it into the speed-dialing function of the telephone. “Shouldn’t I call the plumber?” she asks, making it obvious that she doesn’t understand men. Of course, she has her reasons - I’ve had some bad experiences. In fact, I’ve yet to tackle a home improvement project that has actually improved the home. But today I was feeling confident. I carefully removed every screw from the back of the washing machine only to discover that it still wouldn’t come off. So, using the largest screwdriver I could find as leverage, I applied gentle pressure until suddenly there was a god-awful screech followed by two loud snaps and the back of the washing machine flies off like a cork out of a champagne bottle and smashes against the concrete wall with a thud that shakes the house. I hear the basement door open above me. “Should I call the plumber?” “We don’t need a plumber, everything is going according to plan,” I assure her. Of course, I’m not exactly sure what the plan is. The back of the washing machine is filled with enough wires and hoses to launch the space shuttle and I have absolutely no idea where to begin. So I slowly begin removing parts, looking for anything which might remotely resemble a solenoid, which is a cylindrical object which can be magnetized (I looked it up in the dictionary). Every hour or so the basement door opens. “Should I call the plumber?” Finally, with head held low, I humbly tell her, “It’s time to call a plumber.” Personally, I believe I was on the verge of figuring the whole thing out, but I could tell that she was starting to get nervous. A short time later Mr. Smarty-pants Plumber arrives and views the carnage. “What the hell happened here?” he asks in disbelief. I tell him the only thing that pops into my head. “Vandals. We’ve been having some problems in the neighborhood.” “Must have been a whole gang of them to have caused this much damage,” he suggests and I can only nod my head in agreement. He continues to review the scene of destruction, occasionally muttering “Hmmm” under his breath. Somehow, I intuitively know that every “hmmm” is costing me an additional fifty dollars. Finally, Mr. Overpriced Plumber starts putting everything back together again until, like magic, the washing machine is back in one piece and pushed against the wall. “Exactly what were you trying to do?” Mr. Couldn’t-make-it-as-an-electrician asks as he’s calculating a bill larger than a small country’s gross national product. I seize the opportunity to show him he’s not dealing with just any goober who walked in off the street. “The cold water pressure was weak,” I explain. “Sticky solenoid.” “Uh huh,” he responds and reaches behind the machine and twists off a hose. He taps the nozzle against the palm of his hand until a black, gooey glob of sludge oozes out. Then, with a final twist, he reattaches the hose. “Your filter was clogged.”

Pruйbalo y veras!

Toilet training for dogs tips from animal behaviorists

Generally, dogs are very clean animals - they won't soil close to where they eat, or where they sleep. But living in a house is unnatural for an animal whose instincts would be to roam wherever she wants to go, so you will have to help her learn where and when she can relieve herself. It is essential that you form good toilet habits for your dog as early on as possible. Trying to break the habit of a dog is quite difficult and it can be very frustrating. You need to use guidance and encouragement to help the pet. Animal behaviorists have some helpful tips that you can use to help with the housebreaking of your pet. Believe it or not, dogs are sanitary creatures. If a dog does soil accidentally in the wrong place, it is likely that it will be far from his dog dish, at least six to ten feet. This is true for the place where the dog sleeps as well. But, unless you find a good place for her to go and train her in that manner, the rest of your house is okay to them. The process for housebreaking a dog is the same if he is a puppy or an adult dog new to your home. You’ll need to take him outside every few hours and also 30 minutes after he eats. Take your pet to the designated bathroom spot. Stay with the pet until she goes, and then praise her when she does. If she does not go, bring her back inside and try again in fifteen minutes. Watch her though. If the dog starts sniffing and circling take them out right away as this is a sign that she is about to go. Pay attention to her signs and take her out. Soon, she will relate to going outside to going to the bathroom. Some dogs are housebroken much faster than others. Some dog’s personality will cause her to go one way or the other. But, if you take her outside at the right time, it will go smoother. A puppy of less than four months old will need to go out during the night. Older puppies can hold it that long. A dog that cries to be let out has an urgent need. Get up and take her out, she needs every chance to succeed that she can get. Positive reinforcement is necessary for success. How you treat accidents will affect your dog’s overall learning curve. If you catch your dog going in the act, distract her with a clap or call her name. Take her outside calmly at that time and praise her for finishing outside. Clean up any accident that you find on the floor. If the dog approaches during this time, ignore her. Don’t talk to or punish her at this point. The worst thing that you can do is to yell at her or physically punish her. This will cause her to fear you and to not bond as well to you. She won’t connect it to the accident at all. Ignoring her is the best course of action here.

A whale of a journey exploring oregon

“Oh wow, a whale!” I heard my wife exclaiming outside the motel room. I wondered where on earth she was and what kind of prank she was pulling as her voice drifted in through a window. I lay in a semi-conscious state in the room, trying to catch a few more winks after our late night journey down the Oregon coast. The kids voices chimed in with hers, back behind our motel room somewhere, exclaiming about their first sitings of whales - “out there”. Startling awake, I realized that they were talking about actual whales, and were calling me to get out there before I missed them - no kidding involved! A good thing I moved too, because I had never seen anything like that in my entire life. I certainly never expected to be so lucky on this jaunt we mountain people from Montana had taken to the Oregon coast. After I stumbled from the motel room, down the hall and around the building, to my astonishment, there it was. As big as life and to our complete amazement, right off the rocky shore below the motel we were staying at in Seaside, Oregon, a couple of whales were working their way along within close view of the shore. To local folks and to others that live along the nations shorelines that may not have been any huge deal. But to me, my wife Evie and the kids, Ash and Rob, actually seeing a whale spouting - just blew us away! We were on a journey - a hut exploration journey - to the coast which I’ll dig into more in another article. Briefly, we first passed through Washington, studying the Mt. Tahoma Hut System over near Mount Rainier. Our second stop was at the Oregon State Park at Beverly Beach to see what they had done with the magic of yurts. Our third stop was back in eastern Oregon, looking at the Wing Ridge Ski Tours hut/wall tent configuration back up in the Wallowa National Forest end of Oregon. Pretty awesome stuff they were putting together and we’ll have to cover those more on down the story-line. A genuine high point of the journey, Seaside, Oregon provided a bit of magic to the exploration on a scale I had not even remotely anticipated. Our coastal basecamp was an outstanding motel, the Seashore Inn, right there on the shoreline. It was the sort of place that when you went around to the “sea side” of the accommodation you were able to clambor over the rocks and right down to the waters edge. As mentioned before, having grown up in Colorado and Montana, the possibility of actually landing a motel room right on the ocean shore was one of those dreams that hardly ever comes to reality. But, the amazement of finding actual whales working the waters right off shore from that spot - that truly pushed the envelope of my expectations. Our little family had traveled late into the night, working our way to this Seaside location, and collapsed into the motel room in the wee hours. To our delight, following the discovery of the whales, second thing in the morning the kids discovered that the place had a great indoor pool. They settled in there to play and unwind from the previous days journey. We also found we were within an easy walk of the gift shops, coffee shops and restaurants of Seaside, a truly charming, quiet, “right on the shore” little community, with a full panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean right across the street - Highway 101. Right around the building corner from our room we had our own piece of Pacific Ocean shoreline for the couple of days we stayed in that wonderful spot. The kids found star fish around the rocks under water, the most amazing little multi-colored sea urchins, and an unending collection of sea shells along the shore once the tide went out. The crowning touch of course were the whales, actual spouting whales swimming right out in the nearby waters. We stayed in that little corner of paradise for just a couple of days, enjoying the area around Seaside. We explored the nearby coastal treasures, marveling at the formations at Canon Beach, drinking in those amazing views out to the ocean, and marveling at the roar of the waves on the rocks. Unbelievable pieces of a world of the sort folks from the Rocky Mountains never imagined possible. The third day we gathered up our belongings, pulled the water-logged kids out of the pool, and continued our exploration of the huts and yurts of the Pacific northwest. During a brief stop-over at Beverly Beach we studied the wonderful yurts of the Oregon Parks system, checking out a yurt they had set up for camper rentals. That was definitely an item for future reference on some return trip to the area - a yurt on the Pacific coast - imagine that. Our travels finally led us to depart the coastal areas and head inland to the far northeast corner of Oregon, back up into the Wallowa area of the state and the Wallowa Mountains. Outside of the little town of Joseph, Roger Averbeck of Wing Ridge Ski Tours led me on an excursion up toward the Eagle Cap Wilderness, showing me his accommodations for winter ski tours. He provides completely furnished and insulated wall tents back up in the timber, just down from pristene mountain faces and bowls, perfect terrain for the hardcore backcountry ski enthusiast. That journey through Oregon was an excursion to remember from the sea shores to the eastern mountains. We were so thankful that at every basecamp spot along our lengthy trail there were outstanding motel accommodations, all at reasonable prices. In the case of the unbelievable Seaside location, they actually threw in the whale watching phenomenon at no extra cost. Check out the wonderful options available throughout Oregon through our Western States WildernessTours site at: montanaadventure/out/state/us-or. html. Then start planning your own Oregon trail journey! Happy explorations

Dietary fiber for diabetes heart and general health

Most people understand the importance of dietary fiber in their diet. Much has been said about its importance in heart health, diabetes, cancer prevention, and even weight control. What is less well understood is how different types of fiber effect the body. Some provide fecal bulk, some are absorbed more quickly into the blood stream than others, and thus raise blood sugar levels more quickly, and yet others provide benefits to the heart. Thus, despite the apparent simplicity, fiber is a complex topic. And whilst all types of fiber are important, if you are looking at preventing or managing specific conditions, its not enough to just look at the total dietary fiber as written on food packaging. Dietary fiber is broadly classified into soluble and insoluble fiber. Soluble fiber is fermented in the colon, and plays a role in slowing the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream. It also encourages the growth of the 'friendly' bacteria that help break down bile, and are involved in the creation of B vitamins like folic acid, niacin, and pyridoxine. Insoluble fiber, on the other hand, acts a bit like an intestinal broom. It provides bulk to the stools, and makes sure they pass through easily and quickly. This is the type of fiber that keeps you 'regular', not insoluble fiber. Insoluble fiber does provide a feeling of fullness, however. This makes it great for weight loss and controlling hunger. It also keeps blood sugar levels more stable, although research into the rate at which carbohydrates enter the bloodstream have found there to be some significant differences within the foods that make up the fiber group. Dietary fiber can thus be rated by its Glycemic Index, which effectively ranks fiber foods with each other on a relative scale. The idea is to try and include more low gylcemic index foods. Foods with a high glycemic index cause blood sugar levels to spike, providing too much energy to the blood in the form of carbohydrates, which in turn sets off the body's sugar controlling hormone - insulin. You thus get a 'high' followed by a sudden drop. This in turn leads the body to want more carbohydrates to balance itself again, leading to cravings and overeating, as well as tiredness and moodiness. Low glycemic index foods include lentils, chickpeas, baked beans, fruit loaf, salmon sushi, barley, milk, low fat custard, soy milk, yoghurt (not diet yoghurt), apples, strawberries, grapes, spaghetti, peas, carrots, fructose, strawberry jam, and chocolate milk. Moderate glycemic index foods include pea soup, rye bread, porridge, muesli, ice cream, bananas, pineapple, kiwi fruit, new potatoes, beetroot, white sugar, honey, and mars bars. High glycemic index foods include broad beans, bagels, white bread, brown rice, watermelon, udon noodles, desiree, pontiac and sebago potatoes, and glucose. We need both soluble and insoluble fiber, however. A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that in a group of 6000 French men and women, those with the highest levels of soluble and insoluble fiber in their diet had a lower risk of being overweight, a lower risk of having blood pressure problems, cholesterol problems, and they had better levels of triacylglycerols and homocysteine. The last two are measure3 of heart health. Fiber from cereals was linked to lower body fat, lower blood pressure, and lower levels of homocysteine. Those with a higher intake of vegetables, also a source of fiber, had lower blood pressure and lower homocysteine levels. Fiber from fresh fruit was associated with a lower waist to hip ratio (good news for dieters!), and lower blood pressure. And fiber from dried fruit, nuts, and seeds (like sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds) was also linked to a lower waist to hip ratio, lower body fat, and a better fasting glucose concentration. Fasting glucose relates to having a steady level of glucose between meals. If it dips too low, we crave things, often sweets. Fiber has another interesting benefit. In people with type 2 diabetes, it has been found to lower the levels of 'bad' cholesterol, and increase the levels of 'good' cholesterol. It has already been established that fiber supplements will lower the levels of bad cholesterol in people, whether they have diabetes or not. But this new study found that fiber supplements also decreased the reabsorption of cholesterol from meals. To get this benefit, it is important to time taking the fiber supplement in synch with meals. The study participants took a fiber supplement drink before mealtimes, and this ensured that the fiber was in the intestines when the meal was being eaten. The people in the study participated for 90 days and their average age was 59 years old. References: 1. Top 5 benefits of having a home based business

1. The first and foremost major benefit of having your own home based business during the first two to three years is the income tax savings involved. An average family of 4 with 2 teenage children normally save in the area of $2,000 to $5,000 each year. There is a possibility that you could save much more than $5,000, it all depends on your gross family income. This is all tax free savings and will put this much cash in your pocket come next year at income tax time! 2. Another major benefit is the personal freedom involved. If you need more money, you simply work harder. 3. Time Freedom. What is the most important aspect of life, after health of course? In my opinion...it is time. All the money in the world is no good to you unless you have time to spend with your loved ones. Most people in the corporate world that are six figure income earners would be happy to take a pay cut in order to spend more time with their friends and families. 4. Less Stress. Being your own boss has it's advantages. If you don't produce, the only person suffering is yourself. There is no-one looking over your shoulder all day and expecting more from you than you can give. 5. The End Result. Instead of your personal creativity putting cash in the pockets of others, you are keeping the "fruits of your own labor". In summary, if you don't have a home based business of your own you are giving time and money away to others. Can you really afford to do this? Is online medical retailers right for you

There is a wide range of medical supplies available today. It is important though that before you buy your supplies you need to make an informed decision. Whether you need bathroom aids, walkers or wheelchairs it is important to investigate the quality, prices and type of supplies available. With the growth of retail sales in the Internet, there are endless choices of medical supplies. That is why smart shopping pays. Physicians are often bombarded with countless discount offers from these online retailers. Online shops offer a more convenient way to shop especially to those time-strapped doctors. This is why online medical supply retailers have gained popularity over the years. Nevertheless, some physicians are reluctant to try this virtual market because some sites are not yet a year old. As a result, physicians often wonder if they would be able to deliver their promises. But one cannot deny the fact that online purchasing cost less than buying from regular retailers. With the increased competition in the Web that constantly reduces prices, it is even more appealing for physicians to try these online shops. Additionally, with the products and their prices only clicks away no wonder many physicians are lured into this virtual market. For individuals who simply need medical supplies or equipments for their home, the online market can also be a good place to shop. There are no nosy salespersons that follow you around, no fuss and no worry of having to make a decision right away. However, you have to ask your doctor, caregiver or rehabilitation therapist which specific piece of equipment is appropriate for you. Know all the details about the supply or equipment. Sometimes a simple crutch can be made more comfortable and safer when correctly used and adjusted. Simply put you need to find a good selection, get informed expert advice and find reasonably priced supplies to find the right medical supplies and equipments. The continued efficiency of the Internet has helped a lot in keeping the prices of medical supplies and equipments low. Aside from low prices, the easy order system of online stores has made them more appealing. You can easily put a request online and wait for distributors to respond. And bulk purchases are always welcome as most retailers have not set a minimum number or orders. But of course the security issue is always there. Although encrypted sites do well in protecting their transactions, the procedures for distribution of controlled items and drugs has somehow added to the slowed medical sales of online shops. Additionally, because there are no paper trails involved in Internet sales, resolving problems and disputes are often difficult. Thus, when considering online retailers make sure you have the right reasons to do so. You would not want to regret your purchase in the end. So make an informed decision.

PAGE RANK UPDATE IN ALL GOOGLE DATA CENTER From last couple of days I noticed different page rank in different Google datacenter and today in the morning when I reached to the office and as per schedule I was checking my websites I noticed PR update on all my new domains. I visited many website today and found this PR updating is not too good for previous well ranked websites. I checked major seo websites and other well ranked websites and I noticed most of all websites PR went down. Recently Google had changed algorithm and very strict about paid linking. In Google webmaster tool they introduced paid links form where you can write about any website that selling or buying a link. Mostly paid linking is used to manipulation of search engine. I visited iwebtool; they are also selling links and found that their page rank goes down from 7 to 4. This shows Google is very strict about paid linking and in future Google may penalize website that involved in paid linking. Google's Page Rank Update Goes After Paid Links? Seems like there is a Page Rank update taking place now that seems to be impacting sites that sell links. Can't say that we were not warned about this. Danny Sullivan wrote Official: Selling Paid Links Can Hurt Your PageRank Or Rankings On Google over two weeks ago, and now it appears many sites are getting hit with a drop in Page Rank. Here is a list of some sites, including major publishers, who seem to have taken a hit overnight: • washingtonpost/ PR7 to PR5 • forbes/ PR7 to PR5 • suntimes/ PR7 to PR5 • sfgate/ PR7 to PR5 • statcounter/ PR10 to PR6 • masternewmedia. org/ PR7 to PR4 • autoblog/ PR6 to PR4 • engadget/ PR7 to PR5 • problogger. net/ PR6 to PR4 • copyblogger/ PR6 to PR4 • joystiq/ PR6 to PR4 • tuaw/ PR6 to PR4 • searchengineguide/ PR7 to PR4 • searchenginejournal/ PR7 to PR4 • johnchow/ PR6 to PR4 • quickonlinetips/ PR6 to PR3 • weblogtoolscollection/ PR6 to PR4 • andybeard. eu/ PR5 to PR3 • seroundtable/ PR7 to PR4 • blogherald/ PR6 to PR4 I am sure there are many more. Is this a direct hit against sites that sell paid links? That is too hard to say for sure. FOR MORE DETAILS CONTACT and LOGON: vasuinfotech

Tasers and non lethal stun weapons emdt

Electro-Muscular Disruption (EMD) Technology Tasers Versus Stun Guns: Most people use the terms "Taser" and "Stun Gun" interchangeably. The difference between the two is more than the fact that one (Taser) shoots electrical probes, and the other (Stun Gun) works on contact. The technology employed by each is different and a Taser is not just a Stun Gun on a String as it is sometimes described. First, let me briefly rehash the physical differences. A Stun Gun is a contact weapon in which the electrical probes must be physically touched to your attacker's body. It works on a relatively simple principle by which some method is employed to take a very low input voltage (such as a basic 9-volt battery), and dramatically multiply it to produce a tremendous output voltage (while keeping the amperage output well below lethal levels). You can read about the different methods for doing this on my web site ( snjselfdefense/stunmaster. htm), Wikipedia, or a number of other self defense sites on the Internet. The Taser on the other hand, is a stand-off weapon that shoots electrical probes which need to attach to the assailants clothing or skin. Tasers employ what is known as Electro-Muscular Disruption Technology (EMDT) in addition to a voltage step-up method. It is the EMDT that gives a Taser such incredible takedown power with only a (relatively) small voltage output. Simply stated, a Taser shoots, a Stun Gun does not, although nearly all Tasers have a contact Stun Gun built into them in case of a miss, a misfire, or the attacker is already too close to fire in the stand-off mode. Stun Guns themselves are incredibly effective both as deterrents and in actual use. It has been my experience that normal people are just as terrified of the 80,000 volt Talon Mini as they are of the 975,000 volt Lithium Hot Shot. Just activating the stun gun for a .1 second demonstration scares the pants off of most anybody. The problem is that "normal people" aren't the ones out there raping, mugging, and purse snatching; hence the extreme voltage required to ensure stopping some monstrous, muscle bound nut case jacked up on Crystal Meth or PCP. Tony Montana soaking up round after round of small arms fire while "introducing his little friend" is a bit of a stretch but not that much of one, for a cocaine saturated madman. A stun gun's effectiveness increases with the amount of time it remains in contact with the attacker. So much electrical energy is dumped into an attacker's body, that neuromuscular connections are overwhelmed. This causes the muscles to do a phenomenal amount of work almost instantaneously, resulting in a rapid build up of lactic acid rendering the assailant incapable of controlling voluntary muscle movement. The best analogy I can think of (that I am familiar with) is how we use jamming to confuse and degrade the enemy's radar and communications in aerial combat. Communications jamming: The purpose of both types of non-lethal stun weapons is to "jam" the electrical communications between the brain and muscles. If we look at it in terms of the military application of communications jamming, the analogy fits quite well. Noise jamming or area jamming is conducted when attempting to deny an entire spectrum such as say, VHF frequencies. A high powered signal is sent out covering the entire frequency spectrum with undecipherable noise. It is quite effective and all you hear on the radio is annoying static. The way to overcome noise jamming is to "out power" it, or in practical terms: A very powerful, highly focused single frequency signal can break through the noise. A Stun Gun operates on a similar principal. A huge amount of energy (voltage) in the 14-17 Watt range, blocks out and confuses the body's electrical signals from the brain to the muscles, and overwhelms them. Several factors such as pain tolerance, mental focus, body salinity, musculature and others, determine the amount of power required to totally overwhelm the neuromuscular system. That is why you hear "strange but true" stories of whacked out, drug crazed, maniacally focused individuals fighting through the stun gun's effects for longer than seems humanly possible. No one can fight it off for long, but it is difficult to maintain continuous probe contact with a wildly flailing attacker. Pinpoint jamming: One way to dramatically increase jamming effectiveness is to pinpoint a specific frequency or very narrow band of frequencies. Less power out is required and some very interesting things can be done such as mimicking or manipulating a specific frequency to your own purposes. This is the the desired end result of Electro-Muscular Disruption Technology, and the reason a Taser is so effective with a voltage output of only 50,000 volts. There are several methods for manipulating and refining the targeted neuromuscular communication frequency band. In general, varying the voltage waveform or the Joule energy output are the most commonly employed. As far as I can tell, Stinger and Taser International are on the cutting edge of these new developments. There is a great test comparison video that you can find on the Internet buy searching for "Stinger Versus Taser Video" on any major search engine. The test was conducted by an independent outfit called CRT, and (just for full disclosure) funded by Taser International. You can judge the results for yourself (I am by nature skeptical of everything), but the one thing that is unmistakable, is the immediate effectiveness of the Taser. The electrical "jamming" output through the M-18 Taser leads, is in the specific 18-26 Watt range. It essentially overrides the neuromuscular connection and commands the muscles to full contraction. The subjects of the aforementioned experiment, repeatedly refer to the sensation as being immediately, and completely "locked up", the truth of which is clearly evidenced in the video. There is no time requirement for the Taser to "build up" effectiveness. The debilitating effects are immediate and last as long as electricity is being applied. There are advantages and disadvantages to both Stun Guns and Tasers, the primary of which is cost. You can purchase a basic 80-100,000 volt stun gun for around 20 to 25 dollars with the most powerful lithium battery models running upwards of 75 to 80 dollars each. Tasers on the other hand, are in the hundreds of dollars range. You are going to have to pay for that cutting edge technology! Two other obvious advantages of the Taser are stand-off capability and instantaneous disabling force. Police forces use the Taser to subdue violent subjects immediately, while a cheaper Stun Gun is great for stunning the crap out of an assailant and getting out of the target area safely. I hope that explanation makes sense. I welcome comments and suggestions from those with extensive expertise in this area.

Usual misconceptions about search engine optimization

In the new realm of Internet marketing, visibility and search ranking are two items that one needs to be fully aware of, since enhanced visibility and good rankings make for greater clicks by web users and profits for sites that sell their products or services. Currently, there is a lot of misinformation lingering on the Net regarding Search Engine Optimization or SEO and marketing, therefore it is imperative that customers and web users get to have some facts laid out clearly, in order to prevent tripping on a lot of errors and misconceptions. Here are some of those common misconceptions about SEO's. * Not Enough Link Popularity. Some search engines make almost every attempt to qualify the results which are laid out in search results. They try to do this is by tracking the number and quality of the incoming links to a web site. A website with a huge number of incoming links from quality sites is given a higher ranking in search results with regards to SEO. This is an important factor to consider, and is sometimes over-looked by those attempting to market web sites. SEO service providers and link services that promise to link your site to thousands of other sites are far from productive; in fact they can sometimes do more harm than good. Most search engines these days consider services like this to be spam, so-called "link farming" and often give sites with these types of links a low ranking or drop them all-together from the search results. * Lack of Research On Effective Keywords If you have a web site, it would be important to ask yourself "Do I know what pages in my site are generating the most interest? Do you know what terms people are searching for that would lead them to finding your site? Let's cite an example. You own a web site that sells jelly beans, and so you spend some money on paid search advertising, and logically; you assume that the key phrase "jelly bean" is a prime candidate to target. So, what happens after? Usually one of two things. First, the term jelly bean is such a popular search term that probably twenty million other web sites are competing for the same key phrase. Second, the term jelly bean is so unpopular that it's unlikely that it's searched for more than once in this lifetime. Proper keyword research can solve these problems * Putting Too Much Emphasis on Design, and SEO later Most often, even experienced web designers fail to consider the results of design decisions on SEO until it's too late. So what's the point of spending thousands of dollars for a well "designed" web site if nobody even sees it, or clicks on it? One needs to consult with a SEO specialist early in the design process, even if your web site marketing strategy relies too much on paid search advertising. Consulting with a professional SEO expert first may expose flaws in your site's layout. * Splash Pages May Look Nice, But Are They That Effective? Most often we see entry pages that instruct the user to "Enter", which are usually decorated with a large graphic or a flash animation. The index page of a web site is the one that search engines read first, and more often than not the only readable content on this type of page is a link that says, "skip intro". The notion is that splash pages lack indexable content, and generally contain no links and often contain a "redirect" to the real home page. Search engines generally hate redirects, for they want the real thing. It would be best to avoid splash pages unless you aren't serious about being found by search engines. • Relying Too Heavily On Pay Per Click For many small and medium-sized businesses, trying to compete in the internet marketplace simply becomes overwhelming. While paid search advertising is a highly effective means of targeting an audience, organic search optimization greatly increases the chances of success for any web site. Ensure that the site you are advertising is one that people can easily locate without the assistance of a paid search advertising campaign, which sometimes could be real costly.

What is disability insurance

Some people may be surprised to learn that disability insurance is every bit as important as life insurance. Many times it can be even more important than life insurance. This article examines some of the issues concerning disability insurance and how it can help protect your lifestyle in the event of a serious illness or injury. Disability insurance is used for the protection of your future income. It is the best way to protect yourself in the event that you are unable to earn a living due to poor health or serious injury. As with most types of insurance, disability insurance comes in different forms. One of the reasons that disability insurance is considered to be just as important as life insurance is the fact that you are still alive when disability insurance takes effect. Life insurance, of course, only takes effect once you are passed on. Life insurance will deliver a sum of money to your beneficiaries that they can use as they see fit. If you are injured or ill to the point that you cannot work and earn a living, where will the money come from to meet your financial obligations? In a very broad sense, disability insurance can come in three ways. Your employer may have you covered through a group plan at work. The Social Security Administration may be able to provide some relief if you meet their requirements. Lastly, you can purchase private disability insurance from an insurance carrier the same way that your purchase life insurance. An interesting fact concerning disability comes from the Social Security Administration. Their studies claim that a 20-year old working person has a 3 in 10 chance of being disabled before reaching retirement age. According to their numbers, 30% of the populace is susceptible to needing some form of income protection within their lifetime. That is a staggering number if you think about it. While disability insurance is important it is also more expensive than life insurance. This only makes sense as it is expected that the insurance company will have to pay out more in disability claims than it will in life insurance claims. Consumers should understand that disability insurance is not the same as health insurance, which is used to help pay the cost of medical expenses. It is somewhat ironic that medical insurance can save your life and improve your health but you might still find yourself homeless if you are disabled and cannot earn a living. Disability insurance protects you from that unpleasant reality. Individuals who are single or have no family members often decide to by-pass life insurance because they have no one to benefit from the insurance. In other words, they have no beneficiaries. Those same individuals, however, should not by-pass disability insurance because, in essence, they are the ones who will benefit should they become disabled and unable to work. It only makes sense that even single people who are unable to earn a living will still need some form of financial assistance in order to live. Anyone who is dependent on their income to pay their bills should seriously consider adding disability insurance to their financial planning portfolio.

How to keep predator fish

: Many people like to have fish for pets because they are low maintenance, and can be very relaxing to watch them swim. Most first time fish enthusiast like to keep cold water fish, because they are cheap and most of the different types of these fish will get along together. These fish have some bright colors and have some very fancy fins, but they are mostly large goldfish, and eventually switch to tropical fish to get a larger selection of fish. But keeping tropical fish can be a bit of a gamble, the fish cost more and some of them are very aggressive and will eat your other fish. There are more different types of tropical fish for you to choose from, and they have a larger variety of colors then cold water fish and keeping them in an aquarium together with other tropical fish does not have to be a gamble, it is not like a trip to the casino to play blackjack, if you do things right there is no gambling involved at all. The first thing you need to do is some reading before purchasing any fish for your tank. Reading about fish will give you an idea of what species of fish eat other fish, and which ones do not. It will also let you know which meat eating fish will live with what other fish, and make it less of a gamble that you are just buying one fish an expensive meal. Cichlids are a type of fish that eat other fish but they are a school fish and prefer to be in a tank with other Cichlids, but you want all the other Cichlids to be about the same size, or one day you will come home from a day of playing the most Popular Casino Games in the casino to find several fish missing and one fat fish swimming around slowly. Cichlids are a surface to medium depth fish. This means they will swim on the top and middle of the tank and will generally not go to the bottom of the tank for very long. So many people with Cichlids will get a bottom swimmer to fill the tank out. A very popular type of bottom swimmers is catfish. There are many different fish in the species of catfish. Some of these fish are non aggressive and do not get very big, but a fish like this may not be aggressive enough to be in a tank of Cichlids. You may want to get a more aggressive type of catfish, but if you get a large one it will surely eat the Cichlids, but if it too small you are gambling that the Cichlids will not pick its eyes out. Just remember that no matter how much you read each fish does have a personality of their own and no matter how much you read that one fish will be friendly with another it putting them in an Aquarium together is gambling. There is always the possibility that some of your fish will get eaten, but the only way to make keeping fish not a gamble is to keep each fish in their own separate fish tank in the hope that this will keep them all safe, but this will not make for happy fish. With trial and error you will learn what can live with what types of fish and save the gambling for Las Vegas casinos.

My favourite hobby snow boarding

Since moving into the suburbs, I have developed a new hobby: snow boarding. Snow boarding is great fun, and the reason I got started is because I used to go surfing when I lived by the beach, and when I moved away from the coast I had to find something new to satisfy my fix for extreme, white-knuckle sport. When I moved to my new college, everyone was talking about snow boarding, and a lot of my peers considered snow boarding an excellent hobby. When they asked if I wanted to attend, I was more than happy to come along and take part. The next thing I knew I was at the slopes, and I had to let everyone know that I had absolutely no experience of the sport whatsoever. They appeared to understand, and everyone was really helpful when it came to explaining how to get started. In fact, there were so many people trying to teach me what to do, I actually found that I would rather just one person would teach me at a time. The next thing I knew, I was going down the slope, and had no idea how to break appropriately, or how to turn. OK, so I'll admit that getting tuition from a bunch of teenagers was hardly the best idea, but it ensured that I didn't hold back on anything, and I certainly got off to a flying start. The fact is that you realise it is mostly just common sense, and the thrills that you get are amazing. When you are going down a slope at 30 miles an hour and you do not have to put in any effort to accelerate: that is like flying. The fact is that I also enjoy snow boarding because it is a great social activity for everyone to enjoy. I had just moved to a new area, and snow boarding really gave me an opportunity to get to know people, and is actually the reason why I am friends with the people that I hang around with at the moment. After visiting the slopes a few times, my new friends and I have discovered more common ground, so now we enjoy other activities together, along with the occasional visit to the slopes of course! I'd recommend snowboarding as a great hobby for anyone, particularly those with a passion for extreme sports, or anyone with a sense of adventure. And it's really great when you actually get involved - there's a whole culture attached to it. Some of my friends suggested taking up skiing, but this is something I think I'll avoid. It is almost like trying to compare a car and a motor bike. A car maybe burns less gas, it may be safer and may even turn corners with more precision, but what would you rather travel in for sheer thrills? Skiing just looks boring compared to snow boarding and the more I get into snow boarding the more my opinion is re-affirmed. I am glad that I moved away, and I am glad that I managed to find a sport that I enjoy more than surfing. I am hoping to start entering into competitions soon, however I have a lot of catching up to do with my new friends first!

Steps to selling your home

STEPS TO SELLING YOUR HOME Selling your private property is something private as well. It requires courage and confidence. Here are some steps that will help you to sell your home: 1. Look at your home condition. This is the first step that will make you easier to get a buyer. Buyer or consumers always need a first impression. The physics of your home, inside or outside, is very important to make them contact you for the price. So, make sure you have a property that is clean, neat, and well-cared. Who want to buy a home with filthy condition? Repair the leakages and re-paint the walls will make your home even nicer and attractive. 2. Price your home. How much do you want to worth your home? Of course it depends on your home physics and external supports. External supports mean the neighborhood and public access. The more accessible and nicer neighborhood will definitely in demand and can be considered plus points for your home. Also in pricing your home, it is important to look at the market. How does the market say? Market can be a good step point to set your home price. As an additional tip, always open for negotiation! People like to bargain. 3. Advertise your home. Advertisement is always effective in getting consumers. Many ways to advertise your home: a. Advertise your home on the newspaper. It requires extra budget, but it is worth lots of people to read your advertisement. b. Put an announcement board or banner in front of your home. This will make everybody who crosses the street to know your sale and perhaps tell it to their relatives. The bigger the banner is the better. c. Print lots of brochures or leaflets and disseminate it in public places. And do not make the information narrative; just a few pointers that has your home picture and contact number on it. d. Tell your friends and relatives. This could be the easiest way to advertise your home. I personally do not prefer friend/relative-related consumers, but as long as they can give you a good price, why not? And also, friends and relatives are usually kind enough to help us to look for buyers. That’s what friends are for, right? 4. Use a broker service. Broker service will help you to market your home even better since they have lists of potential buyers. They are definitely the expert to help you in negotiating with buyers and basically arranging your home sale (from the first step). You can call them as the middleman. If you do not want to waste your time, you could just contact few brokers and ask for their services. The consequence is you have to share a certain percentage of your home selling price with them. So, if you do need to sell your home very soon, I would recommend this strategy. Good luck in selling your home!

Time management for begginers

Time management is the most important asset one can have these days, with the collapse of traditional values any person can find himself running a few, parallel different lives all at once. I am sure you are not a stranger to this situation, you have too much you need to do, you do not have the time, and you see all your leisure time fade away as you calculate how will you manage to do all these things you must. Not only do most people know this situation, most people know about time management, but fail to understand it correctly and most importantly, fail to comprehend the basic concepts of time management and implement them in their very busy lives. Time management is not about doing too many things in less time but doing right things at right time in right way. How you manage your time is part of your personal agenda. However, there are a few generic steps that help you manage your time in a better way, more so in case of executives and ever-occupied corporate. It take the average adult about 5 years until he or she understands that they had enough of stress and trouble over not getting the work done on time, the laundry on time and all those family activities they have been wishing to do for so long – ever. Time management is the answer to most of these problems and almost anyone can find a way to have a little more time to do more things and enjoy life a whole lot more. The first step towards effective time management, and a regular time management routine is to set clear goals and targets, keeping your mind on the target and goal will assist you in getting where you want . Goal setting makes you more focused and sets a direction for how the tasks should proceed. The goals should be clear, concise, unambiguous. Try and evaluate, realistically, how much time you got and what you want to achieve and than set a plan of getting it. This planning will allow you to “see” time and plan how to use it, you will know how much time you want to allocate to any task and you will also have the ability to keep an eye on your advancement as you go along, taking more time if needed or delaying the goal when realizing it will take more time. Prioritizing is the most important thing in time management, you need to understand how to create an importance level and assign it to all the things in your life, your time management will be as successful and as clear as the priority you set in your life. Important point to be remembered here is that prioritizing does not mean doing only what is important and leaving out on rest, rather it is doing what is important first and then proceeding with the rest. Scheduling and Routine Setting: Scheduling binds your prioritized tasks and goals in a time frame such that you get a productive outcome of your available time. A carefully made schedule motivates you to complete your tasks on time and cuts down on the time bandits by limiting the amount of time you spend on a particular task. These steps outline the basics of effective time management.

Keep fit for life at any age

Scientists now know that it’s usually more dangerous to not stay active, no matter how old you are. And you don’t need to buy special clothes or belong to a gym to become more physical. Most people don’t get enough physical activity. Here are some reasons why they should: * Lack of physical activity and not eating the right foods, taken together, are the second greatest inherent cause of death in the United States. (Smoking is the number one cause.) * Physical exercise can help people feel right and enjoy life more. * Regular exercise can halt or put off some diseases like cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. It can also perk up your mood can be a direct result along with helping depression. * Being active can help people stay independent and able to keep doing things like getting around or dressing themselves as they get older. There are four types of physical activies you need to do to have the right assortment of physical activities. 1. Get at least 30 minutes of activity that makes you breathe harder on most or all days of the week. That’s called “endurance activity,” because it builds your energy or “staying power.” You don’t have to be active for 30 minutes all at once. Ten minutes of endurance activity at a time is fine. Just make sure those 10-minute sessions add up to a total of 30 minutes most days. How hard do you need to exercise? The right level of effort is described this way: If you can talk while exercising without any trouble at all, you’re not working hard enough. If you can’t talk at all, it’s way too hard. 2. Keep using your muscles. When muscles aren’t used, they waste away at any age. How important is it to have “enough” muscle? Very! Muscles step-up your metabolism, allowing you to burn off more calories during the day when your body is at rest. Using your muscles may also make your bones stronger, too. 3. Do things to help your balance. Every now and then walk heel-to-toe. When you walk this way, the toes of the foot in back should almost touch the heel of the foot in front. 4. Stretch. Stretching can help keep you flexible and will be able to move more freely. Stretch when your muscles have warmed up. Never stretch so far that it hurts. So, make physical activity a part of your everyday life. Find things you enjoy. Go for brisk walks. Ride a bike. Dance. Work around the house and in the yard, take care of your garden, climb the stairs, or rake your leaves. Regular day to day chores around the hous can keep you moving and active.

Best bargain hunting objectives

Often people go bargain hunting to buy items that are very low priced. While this is the usual objective for most shopping trips, there are some people who hunt for bargains on a professional level and the objectives for these shopping trips are viewed with a different perspective. These shoppers go bargain hunting to find items that other businesses need and these items might keep businesses in operation. There are many industrial part vendors that go bargain hunting any place in the world because a client needs a repair part to keep a piece of machinery running. These machinery parts locators have access to a large network of repair parts providers and simply must find the correct part and deliver it to the business. The bargain hunting objective on these trips is to find parts are very low prices. The savings will normally not be passed on to the client and this is why a bargain hunter remains in business. They are willing to do a lot of hard work to find a repair part and feel that the extra profit is simply a reward for a job well done when they eventually locate the part. Some bargain hunters will visit shipyards and other industrial areas where safety issues can occur at any moment. The bargain hunting might require the shoppers to climb up scaffolding to gain access to a part. The parts locator will make a considerable profit if they can put their hands on a part that nobody else has been able to find and they are willing to go down into the hulls of ships to find a part that has not been made in forty years or more. Finding rare parts is part of the excitement that bargain hunters experience during a bargain hunting trip. Some of the best bargain hunting objectives can be found with military contractors. The pricing on parts with the military is often open to suggestion but the military still has many locations for storing and selling parts to outside sources. Some parts locator services will bring shopping lists with them that contain a hundred items or more. The bargain hunters keep an objective tally on the number of parts that will fit on one truck to make sure that profits do not slip silently away. Professional part vendors maintain an objective view on how they can sell the items in their inventories. They might create a repair parts website and allow other people to go bargain hunting for parts that they need for their tractor, truck or mobile home. The best bargain hunting objectives can work both ways and if shoppers and sellers will agree to great deals, then everybody will come out a winner on a bargain hunting shopping trip.

Loans

The cost of borrowing money in the UK is at its lowest level for some years. Interest rates as set by the Bank of England have stabilised at a low lending rate, enabling consumers to take out loans and credit agreements that are altogether very affordable. In fact, despite personal debt reaching record levels, there is a growing feeling right across the country that people are becoming more comfortable with the level of debt they are carrying. With loans being made increasingly more accessible via the Internet and specialist loan companies more willing to consider applications from people with a bad credit history, now is the time to borrow money for those house improvements or that new car. But, given the variety of loans available, how do you go about choosing the right type of loan for your needs? Loan options What type of loan you choose rather depends on what you want to do with the money. There are loans configured by lenders for a wide range of purposes these days. So whether you want to buy a new kitchen appliance, finance the purchase of a motorcycle or buy a holiday home you can be sure that they'll be a loan designed specifically to fund it. Regardless of the type of loan you are offered you'll find that all loans are broadly separated into two categories - unsecured loans and secured loans. Unsecured loans provide consumers with the option to borrow money up to a certain limit - typically Ј25,000 - without formally committing any type of collateral to be used against the loan. A secured loan on the other hand requires collateral to be secured against the sum borrowed, and can be used to borrow anything upwards of Ј25,000. Why is collateral required for secured loans? The definition of a secured loan is that the amount lent is done so on the promise that should the borrower default on payments the lender gains legal control over the collateral on which the loan is secured in order to recover the funds lost. If you wanted to borrow Ј100,000 for instance then the loans company would require something belonging to the owner that has a minimum resale value of Ј100,000 to be used as collateral. For most people this would be their home or the equity in their home if the loan is a second mortgage or if the loans are additional to a first mortgage. Therefore, the only real limit to how much you can borrow on a secured loan is the amount of collateral you can put forward to the lender. In the event that you default on repayments on a secured loan the lender will assume legal title to your collateral and put it up for sale. Lenders of course will only want to reclaim the money owed to them, regardless of the true market value of the collateral. It is for this reason that high value items such as homes and motor vehicles can be found at discounted prices in liquidation auctions.

A buyers guide to motor scooters

Before the 1920s it was an easy decision, a foot-powered push scooter or none at all. But once Gino Tsai from Shanghai, Taiwan developed the Razor scooter it changed everything. His motor scooters became popular so quickly there were people waiting in line for six months before they could get one. In the 1950s companies like Vespa in the UK started selling the first of their gas motor scooters. It was a big hit at the 1950 Motorcycle Show and quickly became a big hit in the UK as well. Vespa sold over 125,000 in the UK between the years of 1950 to 1958. Piaggio from Vespa and Lambretta from Innocenti started selling their models in Italy and France too, quickly becoming the vehicles that everyone had to own. By the early 1950s the sale of motor scooters topped 1 million a year in France alone. Because of its popularity other countries such as France and Germany decided to get in on the boom by manufacturing their own models. Today, after more than 50 years since the first gas scooters appeared, there are many different makes and models. We have electric, gas powered, foldable, mobility and utility motor scooters dotting the globe. There are specialized scooters for just about every task. They have become a worldwide phenomenon because they are cheap to own, economical to operate, are very handy and functional, and most of all they are a lot of fun. But with all of the makes and models which one is right for you? Let's start with the different types. Gas motor scooters are the fastest around. They will take you longer distances and reach higher speeds than any of the other varieties. There are smaller and lighter models that will be perfect for running errands around town while the larger and heavier touring models will take you on longer trips. Plus, the larger the gas tank the farther you can travel before needing to stop at a service station. Electric varieties are a little more economical to run, but will usually travel only about 10 or 15 miles before needing a recharge. Their battery capacity has improved dramatically over the years, but they cannot be taken for long trips due to the fact that their batteries will need recharging periodically. However, for short trips around the city they are wonderful little vehicles. Plus, most scooters have a large storage capacity under the seat so they are ideal for trips to the grocery store or for other light shopping sprees. The elderly or handicapped typically use what is referred to as mobility scooters. These are usually electric models and have 3 or 4 wheels for extra stability. These models give the elderly or disabled the ability to get about in their homes or around the neighborhood more easily. Without mobility scooters many of the disability-impaired would be confined to their beds. Another very popular type is the foldable scooter. These are very small and are made for short trips around town. They are particularly popular among the younger crowds. The beauty of these models is that they are extremely compact and can be folded for storage in small places. If you work just a few miles from your home you can travel to work on your folding scooter and then fold it up and put it underneath your desk at work. Very handy. There are also utility scooters which can be used for many different purposes. They can be used as golf carts or for hauling things. Many big businesses use these types for getting around their factories. Schools use them for driving through the parking lot, checking for cars that shouldn't be there. Major league sports stadiums use them to drive people from one place to another. These are wonderful vehicles that can be used for a variety of reasons. Once you've decided which type is right for your needs the next step is to figure out what options, if any, you would like included on your vehicle. Of course you can choose from many different colors and designs, but there are other options available to you. You can choose from the many varieties of covers, locks (for security), cases or side bags for storage, helmets, seats, handgrips, windshields or windscreens, backrests for touring, chrome kits, rear luggage racks and many more options. The list of accessories can go on for quite some time. As a rule of thumb first choose the type of scooter you want, whether it be electric, gas, foldable or utility. This is the easy part because the type you purchase will depend upon your needs. Once that decision has been made look at several popular models in your area and decide which one looks and feels right to you. Most have accessories that are manufactured for a specific model so accessories cannot be decided upon until you know which motor scooter you are going to buy. Once you've decided which accessories you want for the model you chose it's a simple matter of driving your scooter out of the dealership. And it's nothing but fun from there on out.

How to make your own play dough

In this article are two recipes you can use to make play dough for your kids. Play dough is so much fun and relatively inexpensive if you make it yourself. Once you get the hang of you, you might even be able to teach your children how to make it. Recipe Number One This recipe is made in the microwave, which means you can make it quickly for those occasions when you need to keep a houseful of kids occupied fast. Microwave Play Dough 2 cups flour 1 cup salt 4 Tbs oil 2 cups water 4 tsp cream of tartar Food coloring Mix all ingredients in Rock N Server Large Deep. This is a Tupperware container. If you don’t have it, use a microwave containers that is deep. Microwave on high for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring every minute. Cook until mixture gets so thick it can’t be stirred. Let mixture cool. Divide and knead in food color. Store in an airtight container. Now I am a Tupperware consultant, so naturally I believe that Tupperware is the best type of container to store your play dough in, but you are the ultimate judge of that. Now, if you would prefer not to use your microwave, here is a recipe for making playdough on your stove. Stovetop Playdough Recipe 1 cup flour Ѕ cup salt 1 cup water 3 dessert spoons of cooking oil 2 tsp cream of tartar Food coloring Mix all ingredients together. Add a few drops of food coloring. Keep mixing ingredients until all lumps have been blended. Put the mix in a saucepan and cook it very slowly over medium heat. Keep stirring. When the dough start to come away from the side of the pan, remove it from the heat. You can add scents to the playdough by using vanilla or peppermint essence. Buying playdough at the store can be expensive. Why not try making your own using one of both of the above recipes. You can have fun making and your kids can have some fun playing with it.

Baby bedding buying made simple

There is a near endless array of baby bedding on the market that includes sets that are gender specific and others that can be used for either a boy or a girl. You can buy each piece separately but if you really think about it, it is the most expensive way to go. Just as there are ‘bed-in-a-bag’ sets for adults they have them for your nursery as well. A bed in a bag set includes sheet, pillow cases, a comforter, shams, and skirts for adult beds. Bed sets for the baby is the same way. If you are looking to have your bedding co-ordinate the theme of your nursery then purchase sets. You can purchase single sheets so that you can mix and match your bedding. When you are shopping for be aware that the bedding will be separated by fabric, colors, and styles. Your preferences will no doubt influence your purchase. Do you want cotton, flannel, fleece, or silk? Many parents prefer the cotton or flannel fabric because they are less expensive than silk sheets and are easier to clean. The advantages to buying your bedding in sets is that everything already matches. You won’t be mixing fabrics, colors, or themes. With everything in one bag you can actually change the atmosphere of the room buy the bedding sets you purchase. It is important that you match your bedding with the gender of your child. You wouldn’t want to, for example, saturate your son’s room in pink. In a girl’s room however, it is ok to put blue. Most manufacturers are knowledgeable about current thinking regarding gender and what is believed to be acceptable or not. They tend to know what customers want. You most likely won’t have any trouble finding what you want. Generally accepted themes for boys rooms include airplanes, trucks, or fire engines. Sports is another theme to look for boys. They are generally designed in bright colors - reds, blues, greens, and oranges. Themes for girls could include ballerinas, faeries, Barbie, princess, butterflies, or flowers. Girl’s bedding generally comes in softer colors such as pink, yellow, mauve, blue, and teal among others. Girl’s rooms themes are not limited to the above mentioned themes. Non-gender specific themes for bedding include animals, the solar system, favorite characters such as Barney, the Smurfs, Jimmy Neutron, Sponge Bob Square Pants, and others. You also have the option of having your crib bedding custom made. There is a chance that you might not find just the right pattern you are looking for. If this is the case you can have someone make you bedding with your exact pattern. If you sew you can create your own bedding sets for your baby. There are even materials in gold and silver to use for your child’s bedding so they can sleep in the lap of luxury. Crib bedding doesn’t refer to sheets only. You can get bed in a bag as mentioned earlier. You will find a sheet, a baby blanket, and a baby quilt in most sets. If you prefer to buy separate pieces you can still do that. Most stores have single pieces as well as bedding sets. As you can see buying bedding for you baby can be a challenging task. Keep your budget in mind as well as your preferences. You can create a theme in your baby’s room with the types of bedding you use. You can use character bedding but know that kids often outgrow certain characters and as your child grows you will likely have to change your themes.

Various options to make long distance call for a free or very low cost

Long distance phone calls used to be expensive. Remember the time when you spend up to ten cents or more a minute? Initially, the competition was not fierce and phone companies were making lots of profit from long distance calls. Soon, more competitors flood the marketing, forcing the price to reduce. Phone companies began to come out with unique packages and offers to get you to become their customer. Things have changed a lot since then, and many long distance call companies have folded. This is because the world of long distance calls has changed. It is now a service that you can get for free or very low cost. The cheapest option available for long distance call nowadays is through internet. Using free services like Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger or Skype, you can now call your friends in any country as long as they download the free application too. The downside of such service of course is the need to have a computer and sometimes, the quality of the voice is not very good. If you prefer to speak through the traditional telephone way, companies like Vonage and Time Warner Cable offer digital phone that comes into your home via your cable Internet connection. You can use your existing phone and keep your phone number. This type of service is cheap. Domestic calls are free. International calls are charged at a very reasonable price. For example, Time Warner cable offers long distance phone calls from the United States to Australia for ten cents a minute. Another option available is monthly subscription. For example, Verizon offers unlimited long distance phone calls for just $20 a month. For those who make regular long distance call, this is definitely a real bargain. Such package offer is also good for those who do not have cable internet in their area. One popular option that many people like to use is buying a long distance calling card. For $10, you can make hours of long distance call, depending on which country you call to. When buying a calling card, pay special attention to the initial charge per call. Some cards may advertise that you can make an hour long call for just 60 cents. But if you make several short calls, there may be a one time charge and these charges can easily build up and deplete the card value. If using a calling card, the idea is to make less calls but you can speak as long as you like. If you have a cell phone that come with free nights and weekends call, you can take advantage of your contracts that give you free long distance phone calls during these special hours.

Celebrate life using online memorials and other funeral services to remember

Grieving a lost loved one is never easy. One of the best therapies for this grief is to honor their life and give them a memorial service. Most people don’t think beyond the traditional memorial service. There are many alternative, or untraditional, memorial service options. These can range from simple memorial poems to elaborate funeral memorials. When searching for the perfect memorial for a loved one don’t forget some of these other options. Some people opt for the traditional memorial service at a funeral home or graveside. These can be enhanced by a nice memorial poem. Poems for lost loved ones can range from simple, emotion-filled lines to elaborate, flowing pieces with imagery and structure. These poems may be read at the service, posted online in honor of the lost loved one, shared with family, or simply kept with other mementos. The simple act of writing one’s feelings has a very therapeutic effect and can help the healing process. Others may be having the same feelings and emotions and by reading the poem it may help them work along the grieving track. The internet offers many other options, as well. Posting the obituary online or online funeral messages may help spread the word. Online memorials set up for a loved one can help to speed the healing. This offers the opportunity of celebrating their life. Posting their accomplishments and pictures will allow all those unable to make it to a service to grieve, also. A collage of photos, favorite quotes, favorite song clips, and even links to their favorite causes can fill this online memorial. This can be an evolving memorial. Allowing others to post their memories and special times with the lost will truly celebrate their life and honor them. Open it up and allow others to post favorite pictures or quotes from the person and watch as the memorial takes new shape and memories blossom. Some people take this even farther and have an online funeral. This allows everyone to reach out and help each other heal. Those who are limited due to disability, geography, or other hurdles may attend an online funeral and share in the sadness and joy that may accompany a celebration of the loved one’s life. Video feed from the actual funeral service can be placed online or fed live during the service. Others will feel as if they are right there and feel a part of the process. This allows everyone the opportunity to be involved with laying the person’s soul to rest. When deciding on how to remember a loved one the possibilities are endless. Imagination can go a long way when planning an untraditional memorial. A video showing clips and photos of the person with voice-overs from family and friends is a good option. Planning a celebration of the person’s life centered on things they enjoyed can help everyone remember them as they were in life. A memorial service for an avid scuba diver might take place in a favorite dive spot, or even underwater. The memories, and tears, may flow freely but the cleansing nature will be helpful. Share joys and favorite times and honor them in a place where they found joy. Another popular form of memorial for a loved one is to give to a charity or favorite cause in their name. Taking this theme a little further, some families have volunteered, as a group, to assist the cause. A trip to the local Red Cross Blood Donor Center in honor of a lost loved one who volunteered with Red Cross would make a great tribute to their accomplishments in life. Whether giving money or blood, this is a true memorial to a loved one. Whether holding a traditional funeral service or an untraditional online memorial, the most important step after the death of a loved one is to start the healing process. This involves going through the grieving process and finding a way to honor and remember the person. If posting their history and memories to a public website does not feel right, make a special, password-protected site that only family can access. It becomes an intimate memorial but allows those separated by geography to share in the grieving, and healing, process. Remember, a memorial for a lost loved one can be a simple poem or an elaborate memorial service, but the most important factor is the celebration of their life and accomplishments. ~Ben Anton, 2007

Dental plans good business sense

The many Simpsons fans among us will remember with great poignancy the episode in which Homer becomes a bigwig in the Nuclear power plant’s union. Just like almost every other episode of the classic show, there are a multitude of brilliant moments that can be carried forward into every day life, creating great annoyance among our friends as we quote the cartoon characters ad nauseam. But there is a particular moment that holds sway over those of us with oral issues – the instant in which Homer, confused as he usually is, tries to remember why he shouldn’t make a deal with the devil, or in this case, his boss. With thoughts of his daughter’s urgent need for orthodontal work lying just beyond his reach, the words ‘dental plan!’ repeat over and over in his mind. As usual, animated shows have insightfully pointed a spotlight on an area of our lives that requires serious attention. There is little doubt that a healthy smile is an important part of general health, contributing as it does to both our physiological and psychological wellbeing – experts have noted a correlation between instances of what might seem like the fairly innocuous gum disease with occurrences of far more life threatening heart attacks – and yet businesses across America are coming short in their employee care by neglecting to look after this important aspect of employee health. Needing to find ways to cut back on costs, corporate America is increasingly slicing dental plans from its list of priorities. And while there is little doubt that companies need to remain as lean as they can during tough times, employees are, without question, one of the most valuable resources that any business possesses. Study after study has proven that a happy worker is a productive worker, and an employee without something as apparently insignificant as a dental plan is not being treated with the respect that would optimize his or her output. This is particularly true of workers with young children or teenagers, who are particularly likely to require dental intervention. The simple truth is that employers must find other ways to reduce costs – taking any action that ultimately results in lowered staff morale is not the answer. While a dental plan might not seem a powerful tool in a company’s arsenal against failure, the employees that avail of such a plan most certainly are. Providing employees with a good dental plan is undoubtedly a significant step towards corporate success.

Yoga vinyasas which ones are right for you

When you think about yoga, you likely think first of poses that emphasize self awareness and flexibility. You can, though, link poses in series called yoga vinyasas. In these vinyasas, the poses are done in a free-flowing sequence that adds to your overall yoga experience. While your yoga teacher is trained to create vinyasas for you, there are also certain existing sequences that you can do on your own once you know what poses they involve. Two that are particularly popular in the West are the Sun Salutation and Warrior II. Sun Salutation One of the most popular sequences is known as the Sun Salutation. It is a single flow of 12 different yoga postures. With each, you should inhale to accompany your stretching and exhale as you contract or fold your body in. This particular vinyasas is designed to build your strength and increase your overall flexibility. Like with most vinyasas, you may find variations on this depending on what style of yoga you are using, but there are a few basic poses and a flow that is fairly consistent among the variations. For the Sun Salutation, you go through the flow twice in order to complete one round. Do it one time for the right side of the body and the other time for your left. If you are crunched for time, still try to do at least one. Even that one half of a sequence will help you to feel revitalized. The sun salutation starts with mountain. From there you go with hands up, head to knees, lunge, plank, and stick. Still flowing, you go into upward dog, downward dog, and lunge. Finally, the sequence finishes with head to knees, hands up, and mountain again. As you can see, the Sun Salutation is naturally circular just as many other yoga sequences are. Warrior II Another popular sequence for yogis in the West is called Triangle, or the Warrior II. This particular vinyasas emphasizes your breathing. Though it is usually recommended to try this moving between positions on the beat of your breath, you can experiment with different breathing patters to see what is best for you and how each affects you. In fact, this ability to freely experiment is what has made this such a popular vinyasas. The sequence for Warrior II works through four poses. You will use Mountain, Triangle, Warrior II and the standing Yoga Mudra. Moving in that order, you will flow through the sequence in time with your breathing. This particular sequence will have a tendency to release stress and help with your flexibility. Be sure, as with all yoga, to pay careful attention to your breathing patterns while staying focused on yourself. Once you begin to learn a number of yoga poses, you can begin to experiment with vinyasas on your own or with a teacher. They allow you to not only work within the poses, but also to maintain both a physical and mental flow when you perform your daily yoga. Additionally, you can find other yoga sequences that suit your skill level, need, and style of yoga. Overall, the vinyasas are a part of yoga that may help you see and feel results more quickly and more consistently.
